WRE - The Worcester Scrapstore

Worcestershire Resource Exchange is a 'scrapstore' which collects clean and safe waste from a range of local industries and businesses, diverting it from landfill. This 'Aladdin's Cave' of low cost reclaimed material is then made available to members as a creative resource for projects.

Our opening hours are 12pm-7pm on Thursdays, 10am-5pm on Fridays, and 10am-1pm on Saturdays - other times by appointment only.

Materials On Offer

Our materials change constantly but we often have paper, felt, cardboard, shiny film, sticky backed plastic, foam, plastic cups, fabrics, tubing and much much more!

You never know what new things we might have from week to week and this makes the scrapstore worth visiting regularly or keeping up to date with by email or in our News And Events section.

Alongside these resources we also sell other reclaimed materials. There is a selection of household paints and hard and soft wood for DIY.

An art & craft shop and library with colour photocopying facilities

Bicycle Recycling And Reuse

We are an outlet for Motov8, a registered charity working in Worcester that aim to increase education & social awareness amongst disaffected young people.

Motov8 promote bicycle recycling and reuse by teaching cycle maintenance, cycle design, business & entrepreneurial skills. The project works to raise awareness of the need to more carefully manage our resources and not waste 'waste'.

We have a range of reconditioned bikes for sale with a mixture of adult and children's bikes on display.

Membership of WRE is open to schools, groups and individuals and more information can be found on our How To Join page.

You need to be a member in order to buy resources from our main scrapstore but you don't need membership to buy the household paint, wood, materials from our art & craft shop, bikes or if you just want to have a look around.
