Worcestershire Resource Exchange is a creative reuse project that rescues exciting and unusual materials from local industry. Based in Worcester, it provides inspirational and affordable resources whilst reducing the amount of business waste going to landfill. WRE helps achieve the charities objectives through its environmental education, information, volunteering opportunities and provision of low cost resources to the local community.
WRE also works county wide developing and delivering creative reuse projects and workshops in educational and community setting. The Resource Exchange works with reclaimed materials to promote environmental awareness and how we can reduce what might of previously been thrown away and put it to a new and creative alternative use.
Worcestershire Resource Exchange can devise and workshops and projects for a groups’ specific needs. Projects and workshops can be designed for different age groups, abilities and themes.
With a wealth of experience of working with scrap resources and creative project planning, WRE can provide workshop for schools, teachers, community groups, families, public events and team building. The workshops explore exciting and unusual reclaimed materials and a range of skills and techniques; suitable for all ages in textiles, mixed media and sculpture.

WRE attends events throughout the year and we can be found at events such as; Sewing For Pleasure at the NEC, Quilts UK and Festival of Quilts at Malvern Three Countries Show Ground, Worcester Show and the RHS Spring and Autumn Shows Malvern.
