At last at last! We finally have some water butt type barrels in stock again. They are limited, so we are limiting them to one per member for this week and next. They’re still only a fiver, to keep you patient people happy.
Also in stock again… plenty of large corrugated cardboard. Not the sparkliest item in the scrapstore, but some of you must like it cause we keep running out!
Just about to put out a load of fandabby fabrics, kindly donated by Kidderminster Colleges drama department. There be some reet funky fab stuff amongst it, including retro and gold.
Lushuss as you like it, we have our fist proper consignment of artificial grass. It’s great and my favourite scrap item this month. Even better than buttons! It will be on the shop floor by fri all going well.
Coming soon…….. textile paints (including phosphorescent glow in the dark stuff) and and and… purple air drying clay.
LIFE IS GOOD!
Be there or be boppalula!

We are! However, hard as we find it to let go of our lovely button donations, we have decided it would be rather selfish not to. So… instead of stashing them out the back and gazing fondly at them, we have decided, they are up for grabs.
The lovely people at Inkberrow Design Centre have had one heck of a clear out and donated a LOAD of fab buttons. They are fab! (Did I mention that?) Button designs include:- pandas, cute kittens, smiley faces, letters, numbers, choo choo trains, blinginess personified, roses and evrything. Though the majority of them are great there are some rather hilariously hideous ones too.
They would’ve been between 10p and £1, but since you tell us you’ve been very good, we’re selling them at just 5p each regardless of size, shape and asthetic appeal.
Also in stock 12″ wooden jointed mannikins at £5 each.

If you’re not on one you could be in the other…
Oh how I love the marvellous melange of goodies that we have in store for you. Yes, indeed, this week we have another delivery of adult/teen bikes, including all terrain and a couple of lovely classic town bikes.
We also have a lot of large hedge. Well it’s sort of a hedge in a roundabout way. What it is ,right, is BIG sheets of fibreboard printed to look like a hedge. Some of the lengths of hedge have hearts trimmed out of them and when you look through the heart there is a wonderous Worcestershiresque scene to gaze upon. Other bits just look like hedge. They can be easily cut and are flexible so can be curved too.
Lots of new, trade quality Dulux paint in this week in plenty of colours. If you need to know what colours, you need to come have a look!
Whilst I’m getting into the gardening groove… WATCH THIS SPACE! Lawn coming to the WRE very soon. I kid you not! It could be yours…

New supply of quality rope off cuts, now in stock. Durable nylon rope in various lengths, now available and just part of your regular trolley load.
For those of you who have been waiting patiently, blue water piping is now back in stock. Sorry, we’re still really struggling to source water butt barrels. Two companies have closed down and one is on such low production levels they’re just not producing the waste either. The other has gone onto refillable barrels… good for them but not for us!
If anyone knows of a reliable source of barrels, free of hazardous waste, please drop me a line and I’ll chase it up.
Cheers
Nikki

Yes indeed, after many years of coping with wonky wheels and mangled handles, we’ve gone off our trolleys. Finally, we have had the chance to replace our old, limited supply of shopping trolleys.
Many thanks to Jules who facilitated Bromsgrove carnival this Summer for blagging the trolleys and, after using them for the carnival, passing them onto us.
We now have ten, they’re all the same size and they all work. They are slightly smaller than some of our original ones but we’re making this up to you by keeping our scrap prices the same for another year.
Dale Winton, eat your heart out! Trolley dash is on! (Did I say trolley dash? Don’t quote me on that! Don’t do that! Health and safety. Form an orderly line and push your trolleys sensibly please!)

For the last few months we have acted as ‘the client’ for art student extraordinaire, Louise Draper, in her final major art project at Worcester College of Art.
As a result, we now have a teriffic tree installation in our foyer, here at WRE. The tree is based on the Black Pear of Worcester and has been constructed largely using materials that would have gone to landfill after Louise spring cleaned her house!
The branches of the tree are able to take small pieces of art made by our members. So don’t be shy, if you have something made from waste materials that you’d like to help decorate the tree with, that’s what it’s here for!
Many thanks to Louise for choosing us as the venue to display her work, we absolutely love it and hope many of you will too.
