Even more mannequins!

No Mrs G or Dins this week but we have still managed to get you some fantastic goodies:

  • More mannequins! Including one with a swishy ponytail
  • Spangerley sequin curtains (very long)
  • Wooden frames
  • Sheets of cardboard
  • Wood – selection of mdf, shelves, chipboard
  • Card photo mounts – like the one’s that school photos come in
  • Film canisters – white and slightly see-through.  The type you keep camera films in

OOH what fab scrumpings just keep on occurring!

Yet another list of fabulousness for you guys this week.

  • Mannequins and various limbs incl. One complete male, one armless sitting female, torsos, hands and arms (see website for piccis)
  • Lots of fabric samples in many textures, colours and patterns. All quite small (20cm ish but v useful for patchworking, rag rugging, peg dolly dresses etc
  • More clear Perspex sheets, roughly 1m x 1m.
  • Sizing cubes (those little cubes that dangle on coathangers to tell you what size the clothes are)
  • Childrens’ clothing, mainly 6-18mths but odd larger size too. All unused just left over samples from clothing industry.
  • CDs
  • Buckets with lids
  • Teabag fabric
  • Silk flowers
  • Long lengths (3-4m) of white plastic piping (60mm inner diameter)
  • Sweet jars (minus contents… sniff)

Don’t forget it won’t stick around for long, so get yourselves over and we’ll be very glad to see you!

Also looking good this week… Our summer collection of Spectacular Spectacles and accompanying kits to jazz them up even more. We have an ever increasing range of resource packs to keep you and the little ones out of mischief. The activity and craft kits now include:- Jumping Jacks, animal masks, and a variety of brooch making kits. Lots of scope in each pack to use your imagination but a little bit less overwhelming than the scrapstore in it’s entirety if your looking for a little rather than a lot of inspiration.

Greetings Good People of Scrapland and Beyond!

It would seem the only way is up, certainly when it comes to piling the goodies we got, high! This week we have mostly been scrumping:-

  • 2 foam mannequins
  • Several busts/torsos
  • Household paint (trade quality)
  • PVA glue in teeney weeney iddy diddy tubs
  • More easels (still no weasels)
  • Paint brushes (ideal for very fine detailed work, model painting etc)
  • Blue water piping (for blue water only)
  • Black foam with itsy bitsy holes in it (very sensory)
  • Glam wallpaper
  • 1m x 1m clear acetate sheets
  • Big sheets of orange foamex (lightweight plasticcy board)
  • Pencil sharpeners and putty rubbers
  • Timber galore! Loads of pressure treated round sawn posts, 2bee1, skirting boards and more includes smooth and rough sawn too

Colouramadrama!

A fabulous week and plenty of colourful bright cheer to be had with some sparkly card and funky fabrics and leatherette in loads of bright colours

  • Gold card (super shiney and better than ever)
  • Artist’s canvasses in more shapes and sizes (includes landscape)
  • More canvasses! We’ve put some small, chunky square ones out in the main scrapstore so you can make them part of your trolley. See we do really want to make your day!
  • More wooden boxes (slightly bigger than last couple of weeks)
  • Winsor Newton high quality ouil paints (just part of your trolley so some mega bargains there)
  • Funky fabrics in  loads of colours and textures including felt. Woo hoo! Colouramadrama!
  • Leatherette in big pieces and lots of colours
  • Large clear sacks (not particularly exciting but plentiful and useful)
  • Unexpectedly – more white foam semi circles
  • Large, white tiered display stand. Real good potential for displaying 3D art work. 120cm x 120cm and 80cm high on main part.
  • Fresh coffee and biscuits (we were feeling a bit needy after all the hard graft so hope you don’t mind, but we finished them)
  • More coloured sticky back plastic

Box Clever!

We’ve just collected this fabulous consignment of wooden briefcase style boxes. They come in navy or birch finish and though they’re intended for storing paints and brushes, we think they’d be great for loads of stuff. They would be great for decorating as a gift too.

… if we finally got some hard wood?!

Finally we have a selection of scrumptious hard woods in stock. American Black Walnut, Oak and Cherry as well as some other goodies. It’s one off and limited but it’s lovely quality and very reasonably priced too.

Also in this week:-

Big sheets of styrofoam

Cable reels

Blue water pipe (Oh how we’ve missed you!)

Big sheets of corrugated card

Plastic shot glasses (guess that makes them not glasses)

Black plastic conduit in various dimensions (otherwise known as concertina hosepipey stuff great for making elephant trunks and snakes!)

Hello Scrapfans!

Dins here and I’m taking my turn at keeping you, our lovely customers, up to date with whats new in the store. Its been a busy couple of weeks just recently and we’ve been a wee bit behind on our collections- mainly due to the horror flood we had here 2 weeks ago. However all is cool and groovy now and we’re catching up!

This week we’ve been to our friends at the Gloucester store for a swift swap and we’ve been as far a field as Leicester in our hunt for quality scrap for you guys. Without further ado heres a list of whats new in the store (including the return of a couple of old favourites):

  • White plastic tubes (16cm diamater) as tall as I am.
  • More “tiger turf” including large sizes and weed suppressant
  • Massive amounts of quality carpet tiles in various threads and colours- sizes include 1 metre square, 12 inch square, rectangle about 45cm on the long side and a letterbox shape about 60cm long.
  • Sticky white dots
  • Green foam with holes in
  • A guaranteed world cup final place for England (fingers crossed)
  • We’ve 1 easel remaining- 1st come 1st served!
  • Lots and lots of fabric samples & swatches (I mean lots! from a quality high street retailer)
  • Childrens clothing (all sorts)
  • White foam on the roll
  • Different calico fabrics on the roll
  • Many different types of “quality street” art products including: watercolour boards, paint brushes, watercolour pencils, arts & craft packs, stencils, canvasses etc

There we have it, plenty of different reasons to come on down to the store!

Screen Test!

What fine scrumpings we’ve managed this week for you lovely lot.

These screens are a personal fave. They come in two sizes (230cm x 90cm and 180cm x 90cm). Think about the vehicle you bring for these, we don’t have much room for keeping them back for you.

The Duckworth Worcestershire Trust is seeking to employ a Creative Projects Officer with responsibility for promoting the inventive reuse of waste materials for Worcestershire Resource Exchange. Duties are varied, ranging from organising and delivering creative training sessions/workshops, developing resource packs, supervising volunteers and liaising with the media.

Foam Party!

We’re chockablock with goodies again. Plenty of new stuff including foam galore. Not so much the frothy stuff but the brightly coloured soft stuff. Give us ten minutes and we’ll have a fine piccy on the website News and Events page for you to feast your peepers on!

So here goes:-

  • Massively huge froggy foam sheets (see piccy at wre.uk.com)
  • Mega big den making foam sheets with windows in
  • Larger than life ready steady teddy foam sheets
  • Chunky tyres (could be off quad bikes)
  • Go Kart wheels
  • Tiger Turf off cuts (no huge bits, but plenty of offcuts and several 1m wide strips of a decent length including some in blue… who needs a red carpet eh?)
  • Absorbent fabric on the roll (Great for spillages and will do a season in the greenhouse for keeping seedlings and cuttings moist)
  • More crafty bits and bobs in Quality Street
  • And… More paint!!

Hooray for WRE! Even if we say so ourselves ; )
