Worcestershire Resource Exchange is a project from The Duckworth Worcestershire Trust, a registered charity.
We have two full-time and two part-time employees, and a brilliant set of volunteers.

Anda Phillips
DWT Volunteer & Community Coordinator
Personal Statement
"I'm the DWT Volunteer and Community Coordinator, working Wednesdays-Saturdays at either the Pump House or WRE."
Main Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate and help supervise volunteers at WRE and the Pump House.
- Greeting our members, helping with projects and sharing ideas on use of scrap materials.
- Ordering stock for the craft shop. I'm always happy to accept suggestions for new stock at WRE and am on a constant search for more eco-friendly products that we can sell!
- Working closely with local community groups to promote WRE through children's craft activities during school holidays at the Pump House and at community events.

Beth Holland

Personal Statement
"The thing I enjoy most about WRE is the mix of people I meet and get to work with - volunteers, artists, craftspeople, teachers, children, gardeners, DIY enthusiasts & more!"
Main Responsibilities
- I spend some of my time working in-store during opening hours, helping customers find suitable resources for their projects.
- The rest of my time is spent on such things as managing the budget, dealing with Health & Safety stuff, looking for funding, organising workshops, and representing WRE at events and conferences.

Project Support Worker

"Hi! My name is Dinsmore, Dins for short. I love the thrill of finding new and groovy reclaimed materials and making sure they are available to our great customers.
If you see me about in the store - don't be shy, come and have a chat!"
Main Responsibilities
- Helping to source and collect scrap materials from a wide range of local business groups
- Helping to organise our infamous swaps where we travel to other scrapstores across the country - always on the lookout for great scrap for our members
- Processing, displaying and selling stock, to ensure a wide range of resources are available to members
- Keeping the store in tip top condition

Nikki Goodfellow
Project Worker
Personal Statement
"WRE attracts a lovely eclectic bunch of people. I joined the team as a Project Worker (aka Professional Skip Dipper) in 2005 and have happily been blagging our lovely materials ever since! Our team and members' enthusiasm make this place what it is."
Main Responsibilities
- Forging links with local businesses to encourage them to redirect their waste materials away from landfill and, instead, put them by for WRE
- Collecting scrap, sorting scrap, swapping scrap, arranging scrap and often talking scrap!
- Working alongside staff and volunteers to keep the scrapstore and warehouse organised and restocked
- Working in store during opening hours, happily aspiring to be 'Personal Shopper' to members who are stuck for ideas

Paul Beech
Admin & Project Support Worker
Personal Statement
"I started volunteering at the scrapstore in early 2006 and really love the fact that every day is different. What's really amazing is that after two years of doing the best job in the world, they actually started paying me!"
Main Responsibilities
- General admin, and maintaining the membership database.
- Staffing the store when we're open, and supporting my colleagues when required.
